Access control

Prime Lock

Decide who gets to see your store.

Access control for Shopify. Hide prices, lock pages and gate wholesale access, then let Prime Lock enforce it at checkout with Shopify Functions, so a direct cart link cannot get through.

Four Lock Types

Pick how much you hide

Locking is not one setting. Sometimes you hide a price, sometimes the whole page has to disappear. Prime Lock gives you four levels and lets you mix them across products, collections and pages.

Hide price & add to cart

Show the product but withhold the commercial terms until a customer qualifies.

  • Guests see the catalogue, not your wholesale pricing
  • Add to cart returns once a buyer is approved
  • Product stays indexable, so you keep the SEO

Lock content

Put a page, collection or product behind a redirect, a message or a hard 404.

  • Redirect unapproved visitors to your registration form
  • Explain the rule in your own words instead of a dead end
  • Return a 404 when a page should not exist publicly

Passcode gate

Hand a code to the people who should get in, without building a second storefront.

  • Share a secret link for an early-access drop
  • One code per campaign, retired when it ends
  • Works alongside customer tags, not instead of them

Hide completely

Remove an item from listings, search and sitemaps so only a direct grant reveals it.

  • Keep a private-label line off the public catalogue
  • Stage a product before its launch date
  • Hide from search without unpublishing it
Enforcement

Hiding something is not the same as protecting it

Most locking apps stop at the storefront. They remove the price from the page and consider the job done. A shopper with a direct cart link, a permalink or a saved variant ID walks straight past that.

Prime Lock keeps the storefront layer, then validates every lock again in a Shopify Function at checkout. If a customer does not qualify, the order does not complete, no matter how they reached the cart.

Use Cases

What merchants will use it for

Wholesale behind approval

Publish trade pricing without publishing it to everyone. Buyers apply through your registration form, you approve, and the tag that unlocks pricing is applied automatically.

VIP early access

Give a segment a head start on a drop with a passcode or a secret link, then open it to everyone by changing one setting instead of republishing products.

Age-restricted products

Gate a restricted line behind age verification before the product is visible, rather than asking after the shopper has already seen it.

B2B-only catalogue

Run retail and wholesale from one store. Retail customers never see the trade collection, and trade customers never see retail pricing.

Quiet product staging

Build out a product properly while it stays out of listings, search and your sitemap, then reveal it on the day you intended.

Registered buyers only

Require a vetted account before any price is shown, so quotes and terms stay between you and the businesses you have actually onboarded.

The Shopify Stack

Access is one of three decisions

Prime Lock decides who gets in. Two other apps decide the terms once they are: what a valid order looks like, and what it costs. Each installs on its own, and all three read the same Shopify customer tags.

Discount Prime

Approval gets a buyer in the door; pricing is what they came for. Discount Prime gives them volume and B2B rates on the same customer tags your locks already use.

Prime MOQ & Order Limits

Once a buyer is through the lock, Prime MOQ decides what a valid order looks like: case packs, minimum spend and freight-safe weight limits, all enforced at checkout.
